Life has been such a worldwind. I will not do the play by play of the last few months. But i will give you a quick update.
My Uncle Jay passed away unexpectantly. He just turned 60 years old in January.
He was having problems breathing at a normal doctor's appt. So they suggested he go to the ER. My aunt left him the ER room while she went to see someone in the hospital. By the time she got back they said he had died. He had a bloodclot in his lung. It was very quick. It was hard on me because it was my mom's twin sister's husband. They let me live with them after my parents divorce while my mom got her feet back on the ground. He was an awesome man. he will be deeply missed.
Hailie has had numerous sore throats. So we decided to have her tonsils out at the beginning of April. So April was a crazy month.
We got a doggie from my sister. Her name is Snookums. We are getting use to each other.
We went to the Sugarland concert. It was the girls first concert. We had so much fun.
At the beginning of the concert they made an annoucement to watch for the balls.
So all thru the concert we were looking at the huge plastic balls on stage. but those were not the ones to watch out for. At the end of the concert both members of Sugarland were in 2 inflatable balls and they walked over the crowd. it was so neat.
Another funny thing happened. I knew my sister was going to be at the concert. but i was unsure where her seats were. We kept looking around the stadium for them. then all of a sudden they walk right infront of us. They sat right infront of us. it was pretty cool.
When she showed me her pictures a few days after the concert she had some pictures they took before the concert. Look closely. See anything out of the norm?
Me and the girls are in this picture. We were walking right thru my sisters pictures and did not even know it.
May was not any different in crazyness.
Hailie's BIG Sister got married. It was such a beautiful wedding. It was a 1920's theme. Real nice.
It is the end of the school year. So the girls have so many things going with school. Hailie had her DARE graduation. Steve surpised her and came. It was really nice for him to be there to encourage her. Stevie was apart of the Invention Convention. She made a desk organizer. it was neat. It is a very busy time right now.
My neices had their prom this past weekend. It was the same day as my great-neice Siarra's birthday. So they basically went hand-in-hand. Siarra had a princess birthday. So she wore her cinderella dress when Cheyanne and Cindy got there. It was so cute for the little princess to think that the 2 bigger princesses got dressed up for her big day. My middle neice Cindy asked me to take a picture with her. That touched me. We are not that close, so for her to to ask me to take a picture with her made me feel so honored.
Something really cool happened yesterday: There is a salon in C-Ville that likes to pamper single moms. The girls principal was contacted to see if she had any single moms that deserved to be pampered. And she thought of me!! I was so honored that she felt that i was deserving of a makeover. It was such a fun time. I have always been intimidated about getting my hair done. Cuz it seems the stylist cuts my hair, spins me around, ask for my money and kicks me out the door. But these awesome women really took the time to not only style my hair, but to explain to me what i need to do to keep up the style. Hailie got there at the end, she was so shocked. she did not believe it was me. It was nice. I am not going to reveal the before & after pics for a few days. so that way i can show as many people as possible in person.
GOD is awesome!!! As a single mom i feel sometimes i try to have a pity party for myself cuz i am a single mom. But I try to just do what is asked of me without complain and GOD honors and glorifies me with a free makeover. Thank you FATHER GOD!!!
Stay tuned for the makeover pics soon....
So that is the last 2 months in a nutshell. I am leaving for Beachstock on Friday. I am SO EXCITED. Beachstock is a single retreat for the International Church of Christ in Virginia Beach, VA.
